We slept well at the City Hotel Kurfürst Balduin.
The breakfast, again in the hotel, tastes great.
Because today we go by train to Trier we
take some sandwiches along the way.
Then we go to drink coffee at Café Konditorei
Werrmann, someone asks if we are vaccinates and if we say yes, it is good.
Ou and Joop also come to Café Werrmann and after coffee we go to the main station of Koblenz.
That is harder to find than we thought, but after a question we get there.
With a day ticket, 45 euros for four people, we step on the train to Trier.
It is a nice ride along the Moselle and later through a rolling landscape.
In Trier we walk to the Porta Negra
and we buy tickets for a bus tour.
The view from the bus is beautiful, but we mainly drive through the surroundings and little
by Trier itself.
If we are back at the beginning we look for a terrace to drink some.
We sit atNew Mintons at the Jakobstraße where we drink
and eat.
Then we look further at the Trier market and the shopping streets.
Because we want to eat in Koblenz, we go back to Koblenz by train around half past five.
There is a difference of opinion, Pia and Ou want to eat at the Altes Brauhaus from the
first evening, Tom and Joop want to eat at
Gretchens.
The Altes Brauhaus has a large row waiting in front of the door, we'ro not going to eat
there, and Gretchens is not chosen for some reason.
But we eat, tasty, at Dormonts where it is quite
busy, here we have to fill in a form.
